On National Coming Out Day on Saturday, Oct. 11, the grassroots Cape Ann Pride Coalition celebrated the return of the rainbow crosswalk to Gloucester on Dale Avenue between City Hall and the newly renovated Sawyer Free Library.
A crew from the Department of Public Works could be seen repainting the crosswalk Oct. 8.
“Thanks to everyone who came out to pose, and to those passersby who helped take some pics and bought some shirts!” was the message posed on the coalition’s Facebook page.
Cape Ann Pride Coalition serves as a grassroots collection of LGBTQIA+ people of all kinds and allies who live and/or work on Greater Cape Ann. To learn more, go to capeannpride.org.
