CHAMPLAIN — The Cougars are becoming synonymous with staunch defense and a habit of playing extra.
After Beekmantown grabbed the lead with Max Danville sending the pass from Trey Demorse, they would be unable to crack the NCCS code for the remainder of the game.

It would be early in the second half when Colton Castine scored the equalizer with the help of Kaze Carpenter.
As it seemed destined for a tie, Evias Carpenter put away the winning shot 9:15 into the second OT to win the game for the host.
