The NAMI Grand Traverse Board of Directors is pleased to announce the appointment of Sarah Lee Sullivan as executive director. Serving in a part-time capacity, Sullivan will partner with the board, staff, and volunteers to strengthen programs, expand community partnerships, and further NAMI’s mission of supporting individuals and families affected by mental illness.
Sullivan brings more than a decade of nonprofit leadership experience, combining fiscal expertise with a deep personal commitment to mental health advocacy. She holds an associate’s degree in accounting, a bachelor’s degree in finance and economics, and is completing a masters degree in clinical mental health counseling—all with Southern New Hampshire University, in her home state.
Since relocating to northwest Lower Michigan in 2020, Sullivan has been active with numerous community organizations. She currently serves on the Board of Addiction Treatment Services and as Treasurer of Generations Ahead. Acknowledgements include being twice nominated as an Influential Woman of Northern Michigan (2023 and 2024) and a Leader of Northern Michigan (2024).
Munson Healthcare welcomes Elizabeth Moore, MD, to the family medicine team at Frankfort Medical Group.
Prior to becoming a physician, Moore worked in Anchorage, Alaska as a geophysicist interpreting seismic data. A passion for caring for people inspired her to move back to Michigan and pursue a career in medicine. Moore attended medical school at Wayne State University School of Medicine. She is board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine.
Moore has a special interest in full spectrum care for all ages, as well as menopause care.
“I am so passionate about working with patients to assess their medical issues and work toward their health goals. I enjoy finding workable solutions and seeing patients realize they are succeeding in their goals,” she says.
Outside of work, Moore enjoys spending time with her husband and twin daughters. They enjoy being outside.
, turning over rocks, climbing trees, and going on small adventures. In her free time, she enjoys crocheting, jogging, swimming, woodworking, snowboarding, sewing, and spending time on the water.
