PLATTSBURGH — Colin Walker scored three goals and Tino Marino the first two goals of his varsity career as the Hornets blanked the Patriots.
Scott Gommel, Quinn Roth, Raif Lautensheutz and Brent Cass also scored for PHS, with Roth also getting three assists.
The Hornets bolted out to a 7-0 lead at the half.

“They are the No. 1 seed, so we need to bring our best game possible,” PHS coach Chris LaRose said.
“Our back line of defense, led by Braydon Carabello, Jacques Gervich, Westen Studley and Lucas Kowalowski, did an excellent job of shutting down AuSable Valley’s speed at the forward position.
“In the midfield, Aidan Drollette, Scott Gommel, Raif Lautenscheutz and Rodrigo Lopez kept AVCS on its heels for much of the game.
“For AVCS, River Frazier did an excellent job of keeping pressure on our midfield and Celton Dupuis played hard at center back.”
