ARREST
A man and woman were arrested after a search warrant was executed on Oct. 16 on Washburn Street in Lockport by the Niagara County Drug Task Force. The Lockport man, 46, is charged with criminal possession of a weapon and the woman, whose age and address were not disclosed, was arrested on a warrant. Police said evidence collected in the residence would be processed by the Niagara County Forensic Lab.
THEFT
The Niagara County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a theft from a business on the 6000 block of South Transit Road in the Town of Lockport. The owner of the store told sheriff’s deputies that a riding lawn mower has been missing since July 21. It is valued at more than $8,000.
ARREST
A Lockport man was arrested after a shoplifting incident at 9:05 p.m. Oct. 15 on the 5900 block of South Transit Road in the Town of Lockport. The man, 46, is charged with petit larceny. He is accused of stealing $24.84 worth of merchandise from a store.
ARREST
A man was arrested after a hit-and-run incident at 3:57 p.m. Sunday on Walnut Street. The man, whose age and address were not disclosed, is charged with aggravated unlicensed operation, leaving the scene of an injury and other traffic citations. The man told a Niagara County Sheriff’s deputy he knew he’d struck a vehicle but got nervous and fled.
FIGHT
Police are investigating a bar fight that occurred at 1:13 a.m. Sunday at a business on the 8400 block of Rochester Road in Royalton. The manager told Niagara County Sheriff’s deputies that she’d like to pursue criminal charges for damage done to a main door during the incident but did not know how the man caused the damage. A camera system was expected to provide footage at a later date.
