• ARREST: A Falls man was arrested on multiple felony charges after a traffic stop in the area of 13th Street and South Avenue at 1:36 a.m. July 18. Aaron Potter, 1308 South Ave., was charged with driving while intoxicated, drinking alcohol or using cannabis in a motor vehicle on a highway, inadequate lights, driving while ability impaired by alcohol, refusal to take a breath test and second-, third- and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon. Officers said Potter had a strong odor of alcohol when he was stopped and told them, “You caught me riding dirty. I’ve been drinking.” Crime Scene Unit detectives said they recovered three handguns and six spent shell casings from inside Potter’s vehicle.
• ARREST: A Falls man was arrested after an incident in the 1500 block of Center Avenue at 2:26 a.m. Saturday. He was charged with second-degree menacing, first-degree burglary and criminal mischief. He is accused of threatening to kill a woman with a knife.
• ARREST: A Falls man was arrested after a traffic stop in the 3300 block of Ninth Street at 8:24 p.m. Monday. He was charged with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, no inspection, no driver’s license, third-degree fleeing a police officer in a motor vehicle and reckless driving.
• ARREST: A Falls man was arrested after a reported assault in the 500 block of 12 Street at 10:39 p.m. Monday. He was charged with third-degree assault and is accused of repeatedly punching another man in the face during the course of an argument.
• ASSAULT: Police are investigating an assault in the 7100 block of Niagara Falls Boulevard at 4:14 p.m. Monday. A male victim told officers that he was assisting a male customer when the man became angry and attacked him. The victim said he was repeatedly punched in the face and knocked to the ground, suffering minor wounds.
• ARREST: A Falls man was arrested after a shoplifting incident at a store in the 700 block of Builders Way at 12:35 p.m. Friday. He was charged with petit larceny. He is accused of taking more than $102 worth of merchandise without paying for the items.
