CLINTONVILLE — What would have been a six point deficit at halftime, switched to three thanks to Marcus Brown.
The AuSable Valley guard sprinted down the left side and heaved the ball from the sideline to beat the buzzer and cut the halftime deficit to Crown Point lead 23-20 at the break.
Aiden Blaise led the Patriots with 13 points with Celton Dupuis finishing with 12.
AuSable used multiple defenders to keep Panther Trevor Harris in check. They limited him to 15 points, a considerable dip from his average on the season.
“AuSable Valley got our first win of the new year after coming back from 3 points at half time,” Patriot head coach Andrew Bombard said. “Holding a scorer like Harris to 15 was a great feeling for a team win.”
