HAVERHILL — Come see the handiwork of local talents at the Artisan Fair from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday at Buttonwoods Museum, 240 Water St.
Two floors of the museum will be dedicated to showcasing hand-made items crafted by more than 30 artisans in the area.
There will also be 50/50 raffles and a concessions table at the event. Proceeds will go to the Buttonwoods Museum.

Centuries of floral painters
ANDOVER — The Andover Garden Club will host art historian Martha Chiarchiaro who will lead a presentation on women floral painters through the centuries at 10 a.m. Oct. 7 at South Church, 41 Central St.
Chiarchiaro will discuss various female artists whose artwork featuring flowers and other natural subjects span centuries.
For more than 30 years, Chiarchiaro has brought history to life through the art of various eras. She earned a masters’ degree in the history of art from Williams College and provides a variety of art history presentations at the Worcester Art Museum, for the Worcester Institute for Senior Education, libraries, garden clubs, senior centers and other organizations.
Her presentations provide an in-depth look at the life and times of people through their art.
The public is encouraged to take advantage of this program. A $10 donation is requested of nonmembers.

Introducing ‘We Are Haverhill’
HAVERHILL — Haverhill Public Schools has launched “We Are Haverhill,” a series that celebrates local students, staff, community members, and programs that play a part in the district.
The new series intends to put a spotlight on the city’s figures to highlight their voices, achievements, and stories to “define the spirit of Haverhill Public Schools.”
From student leaders and educators to dedicated support staff and alumni, We Are Haverhill is here to recognize those who contribute to the community.
