ESSEX — Discover the intersection of creativity and conservation at Essex County Greenbelt Association’s annual Art in the Barn fundraiser taking place Friday and Saturday.
Now in its third decade, this event has long been recognized as one of the North Shore’s premier art exhibitions and sales, featuring a juried selection of works by 130 regional artists. Thousands of artworks will be on display, including paintings, photographs, sculpture, ceramics and woodworking.
This event takes place at Allyn Cox Reservation in Essex, a 31-acre property with open fields and trails on the edge of the Great Marsh and the Essex River.
Art in the Barn celebrates artistic talent while also supporting Greenbelt’s vital conservation mission to protect natural land and working farms across Essex County. Artists contribute 50 percent or more of their proceeds to Greenbelt’s conservation work.
To date, Greenbelt has completed more than 700 projects and protected more than 20,000 acres of local land.
