Gavin Doughty delivered a goal and an assist, topping the 100-point mark for his career, helping to lift the Blue Devils, who are clinging to the final playoff spot in Division I at 6-8 with three games to play.
Brady Chisholm had two goals and an assist for Salem. Logan Tautkus and Hunter Thompson also scored.
Haverhill 4, Peabody 2
Matt Costa scored all four Hillie goals in the win in the finals of the Newburyport Bank tourney Gulezian Division. Nolan Sheehan (2), Tim Rosenthal and Kole Sindoni piced up assists. Anthony Pizzamenti stopped 30 of 32 shots for the win.
Costa, who topped the 100-point mark for his career won the tourney MVP, while Pizzamenti and Max Boyer both were named to the all-tourney team.
North Andover 2, Marblehead 1
Gavin Roycroft and Josh Kuberski scored the North Andover goals.
Central Catholic splits a pair
The Raiders fell to St. Mary’s, 4-1, on Tuesday with Andrew Seamans scoring the lone Central goal.
Seamans, Jake Morowski and Evan Smith had goals on Wednesday as the Raiders stopped Belmont, 3-2.
Sean Tattan picked up the victory in net with 23 stops.
St. John’s Prep 4, Andover 0
Boden Wood turned aside 44 Eagles’ shots, but the Prep posted the shutout. Andover finishes at 3-16-1.
Girls Basketball
Whittier Tech 61, Gloucester 51
The Wildcats finished the regular season at 17-3 with the road trip to Cape Ann. Vanessa Lawrence Taylor led the winners with 16 points. Yami Ortiz added 14 with eight assists. Yaki Ortiz had 10 points.
Freshman Alina Abarca came off the bench to make a difference with seven points and five steals, and Kaylee Cannon delivered some serious defensive work.
Fresh off its third straight Commonwealth Conference title, Whittier now awaits the MIAA tourney.
Boys Basketball
Notre Dame Cristo Rey 55, Boston Cristo Rey 54
Senior Captain D’Anthony Reyes scored 24 points in his final game. Zander Zorilla dominated the paint with 12 points and eight rebounds.
With the score tied 54-54 with 5.5 seconds left, the Panthers stole an inbounds pass. Junior Gabe Gonzalez was fouled and hit one of two free throws to win for NDCR, now 7-13.

HPNA 4, PLNR 2
Taylor Bierschied had a pair of goals and an assist in the win. Mia Kmiec and Camden Sloper also scored for HPNA, which finishes off the regular season at 14-2-4.
Methuen/Tewksbury 2, Arlington Catholic 1
The Red Rangers got goals from Sammy Ryan and Annalise Blais to claim the championship in the Brianna McCarthy/Dave O’Hearn Memorial Tournament. Lyla Chapman was named the tourney’s Most Outstanding Player.
Central Catholic 0, Pope Francis 0
With the tie, the Raiders move to 7-8-4 and will likely need a win in Thursday’s regular season finale at home against Burlington to reach the postseason. Central took the teams’ previous matchup, 2-1.
