CUMBERLAND — The Arcadian is inviting guests to step into an elegant, international-style New Year’s Eve with “Chasing Midnight: A Piano Bar World Tour,” a two-floor celebration featuring live music, gourmet food, fine wines, and cocktails — all just steps away from Cumberland’s downtown ball drop.
On the first floor, The Arcadian Gallery will transform into an elegant piano bar for one night. Surrounded by artwork, guests can enjoy live music from around the world by international cruise pianist Peter Czifra.
On the second floor, the Arcadian Lounge will offer a wine bar and cocktail lounge, along with a gourmet buffet. The buffet will include classic holiday favorites alongside international specialties and desserts, reflecting the “world tour” theme of the evening. The celebration will feature wine tastings throughout the evening and culminate in a champagne toast at midnight.
Arcadian owner Christina Elson designed the New Year’s Eve event for those who want a night out that feels special from start to finish.
“Some people like to stay home with friends and family on New Year’s Eve, but others like to dress up and go out on the town. This event is for those people,” Elson said. “This is their chance to put on their nicest dresses and jackets and enjoy gourmet food, a nice piano bar atmosphere and the company of friends, just steps away from the ball drop.”
Throughout the evening, guests are invited to move freely between both floors of The Arcadian — enjoying the intimate piano bar setting downstairs and the festive buffet and bar upstairs. A percentage of the evening’s proceeds will support local art, furthering The Arcadian’s mission to foster a vibrant creative community in Cumberland and Allegany County.
Tickets are $150 per person. Reservations are required, and seating is limited.
