Opening ceremonies for the Cullman County Fair kick off Thursday, Oct. 5, at 5 p.m. The annual Lion’s Club sponsored event will run through Oct. 14 at the Cullman County fairgrounds.
The midway will be open from 5 10 p.m. each night, except Saturday and Sunday, when gates open at 2 p.m and Monday when gates open at noon. On Monday, school-age children get in free until 5 p.m.
The Miss Cullman County Fair Competition is Tuesday at 7 p.m.
On Wednesday, area senior citizens can get in for free from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Entertainment and games in the Coca Cola Theatre.
The fair will remain open past 10 p.m., if crowd size demands it.
