COLUMBIA — The Allegany College women’s soccer season came to an end in the Region 20 semifinals, falling 6-0 to Anne Arundel on Wednesday.
The Riverhawks (14-4) combined for 46 shots while holding the Trojans (6-6-3) to 6, also leading 11-2 in corner kicks.
Genesis Alvarez finished with 24 saves for Allegany while Ryleigh Smoot saved four for Anne Arundel.
After an 0-5-1 mark last fall, the Trojans improved by six wins this season.
The win over WVU Potomac State College on Sep. 4 marked the first for the program in nearly 20 years after being revived last year.
