The Cullman Area Chamber of Commerce’s 2nd Fridays will return Friday evening to Cullman’s downtown warehouse district.
The Red, White & ROCK! event, beginning at 5:30 p.m., will shut down 1st Avenue S.E. from AL Hwy. 278 to Arnold Street NE where the community can shop late and enjoy food, music, activities for children and the always popular cruise-in.
There is a limited capacity for those wanting to participate in the cruise-in. Those wanting to participate should contact Jeff Harris at 256-338-8753. Those parked on 1st Avenue S.E. and the Stiefelmeyer parking lot will be asked to stay as long as possible. Once these places are at capacity, cars will be turned away. All participating vehicles must enter the 2nd Fridays area via 2nd Avenue. Cars parked on Clark Street, 1st Street N.E., and 2nd Street S.E. must also exit onto 2nd Avenue. Cars parked on 1st Avenue S.E. and the Stiefelmeyer parking lot, will exit onto U.S. 278.
Along with a variety of vendors, food trucks and area non-profits, three separate stages will feature a performances by The Overtones on the main stage and Just In Case on the cruise-in stage. Ballet South will perform and offer free classes in the KidZone.
The seasonal event will conclude next month with an “Endless Summer” theme August 9.
