Nick McCullough and his wife Allison’s cross-country, pandemic-year journey happily turned into their book by the same name (2022, Timber Press), and a wealth of new ideas that surely will become the next trends. Nick will talk about the gardens of some of the 20 creative gardeners they visited from Big Sur to Rhode Island’s shores. He’ll offer planting tips and an expanded notion of what an American garden is. Nick is co-owner of McCullough’s Landscape & Nursery, New Albany, Ohio.
>> Sunday, March 9
>> Rooms A & B – Noon – 1 p.m.
“Inside the Design: Inspiring Nursery Makes Its Own Rules.”
Nick McCullough has orchestrated an astoundingly detailed new take on what it means to offer a “full-service” garden center that home gardeners are excited about, McCullough’s Landscape & Nursery in New Albany, Ohio, grows plants only for use in its designs, then installs and maintains those landscapes. Owner/lead designer Nick shares how this process leads to exceptional results. See how close collaboration with homeowners is key at every step as landscape designs incorporate nursery-grown plants that ultimately are cared for by the maintenance team. www.mccland.com.
