Finished at 38-13 with a career mark of 113-30, the bulk of those victories coming against the boys. “The backbone of girls wrestling in New Hampshire,” said coach Bob Riddinger.

Greater Lawrence Tech Senior
185 Pounds
Two-year wrestler. Unbeaten in the regular season. Finished at 20-3 overall. Won titles at Lowell Holidays, All-Girls Classic and State Vocational meets. The Division 2 State champion. Was third at all-states and fifth at New Englands. “A leader, who works hard and plays not games. A great pioneer for our girls team,” said coach Juan Nieves.
HILLARY MACDONALD
Lawrence High Junior
185 Pounds
Already a Lancer legend with one more year to go. As tough as they come. First-team All-Merrimack Valley Conference selection. New England champion. Two-time Massachusetts All-State champ. The Division 1 state runner-up. Finished up the season at 22-5. Had series of epic battles with Greater Lawrence Tech’s Marisol Almanzar, including a thrilling all-state semifinal win.

Methuen High Senior

A giant addition to the program, transferring in from New York state and winning MVC Division 1 Wrestler of the Year with a perfect 24-0 mark. The first New England girls champ in Ranger history. Division 1 and All-State champ. Also won titles at Lowell and Framingham Holiday tourneys. “She helped pave the road for future girls to take on the sport,” said coach John Sughrue.

Salem High Freshman

The best of the bunch in a budding Blue Devils girls program. Finished her first year on the mat at 18-5, placing fourth at New Englands. The New Hampshire girls state champion. Also earned a fine runner-up second-place finish at the George Bossi Lowell Holidays. Completed the season at 18-5. A potential cornerstone in what could be something special brewing at Salem.
