The Express-Star in Chickasha, Oklahoma, seeks a managing editor to lead the newsroom as it continues to produce local content in both print and online editions as well as a quarterly magazine. Previous newspaper department management experience is preferred. Leadership and management abilities are required, and applicants need a strong sense of community news, writing talent and proven design skills. They must be willing to become active in the community. The successful candidate will be fluent in pagination, web production and social media. Experience with In Design and Quark Express is a must.

The Express-Star is a five-day-a-week publication (Tuesday through Saturday). Chickasha is a city in the county seat, business and employment center of Grady County. The population is 15,850, and Chickasha is home to the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma and hosts an annual Festival of Light celebration located at Shannon Springs Park.
