Kelly Miller has been named advertising manager and publisher of the Times West Virginian. Miller is a 20-year veteran of the newspaper industry who most recently was publisher of The Courier-Times, a daily owned by the Paxton Media Group.
She succeeds Chuck Jessup, who has taken another position with Community Newspaper Holdings Inc., the Times West Virginian’s parent company.
During her newspaper career, Miller has worked in various sales executive and general management roles in Michigan and Indiana.
“Kelly Miller has established an impressive track record as a publisher and marketing specialist,” said Steve McPhaul, executive vice president and chief operating officer for CNHI. “Her leadership skills, enthusiasm and knowledge of print and digital media will strengthen the Times West Virginian’s commitment to the readers and advertisers, as well as the Fairmont community.”
Miller said she looks forward to “working with the award-winning Times West Virginian staff, becoming acquainted with the people of Fairmont and getting involved in the community.“
Miller is a Michigan native and a graduate of Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo. She has been active in civic and business organizations, including the American Women’s Business Association.
Miller is married to Donnie Miller, a retired Army veteran.
