WSFX/FOX-26 Wilmington

WSFX/FOX-26 is the Cape Fear region’s fastest growing television station. Viewers count on it for credible news and quality programming. Advertisers depend on its unparalleled commitment to helping them achieve sales and marketing goals through the unmatched impact of television.

The station signed on in 1984 as the CBS affiliate WJKA. It became a FOX affiliate in 1994 and has since been recognized as one of the network’s dominant small-market affiliates. Southeastern Media Holdings Inc. acquired the station in 2003.

Viewers rely on WSFX/FOX-26 for convenience: Its seven-day, half-hour “News at Ten” broadcast provides the region’s news, weather and sports “One Hour Earlier.” Its five-day, one-hour “Carolina in the Morning” broadcast delivers the news “One Hour Later.” The station also is home to FOX Sports and FOX prime-time programs, which include highly successful syndicated shows.

The station serves advertisers through its WSFX Commercial Production unit, which uses the latest on-line editing and graphic tools to produce effective advertisements.
