Bob Dennis Appointed Publisher for Mt. Vernon and McLeansboro (IL)

— Robert Dennis, publisher of the Daily Sun in Corsicana, TX, has been named publisher of the Register-News in Mt. Vernon and the Times-Leader in McLeansboro, IL. His appointment will be effective July 9.

A native of Farmington, MO, Bob served as General Manager of the Farmington Press Leader before being named Production Director at the Register-News in 1995. He served in that capacity until 2000 when he was appointed Publisher of the Daily Union in Shelbyville, IL. He was promoted to publisher of the Corsicana Daily Sun in 2004.

Bob has always been active in his community and served as chairman of the Greater Shelbyville Chamber of Commerce in 2001 and as chair of the Roxy Theatre restoration project, also in Shelbyville, in 2003. He served as a board member of the Warehouse Living Arts Center in Corsicana and is active in the Chamber of Commerce and the Downtown Business Association.
