The Orange Leader, Orange, TX, is seeking an editor to manage its seven-person newsroom.

The news staff has solid reporting skills, but needs the right person to guide them. Primary tasks are editing and some page layout in Quark. The ideal candidate will be able to delegate, but also able to write occasional stories. Our new editor must understand the importance of community newspapers and local news.

The Orange Leader is a 5,000 daily, and 6,000 Sunday circulation, seven-day-a-week newspaper with a TMC and quarterly niche magazine. It’s located in Southeast Texas, along Interstate 10 at the Louisiana border, within a region that’s experiencing solid growth.
