Beverly Kay Maday



Beverly Kay Maday went to be with the Lord on Friday, September 21, 2007 at her home in Jonesboro, Ga. Bev lived a life of passion and strength, fervently dedicated to her faith, marriage, and family. She was pivotal in the creation of the WinShape Marriage ministry, which assists couples in maintaining and growing their relationships through biblical principles and focus on God. For seven years, she used her diagnosis of breast cancer as a catalyst to spread the hope and love of Jesus to countless other women and families touched be the disease. To the end of her days, she was a shining example of unending faith, perseverance, strength and hope. Bev is preceded in death by her father, Don Frisbie, her mother, Melba Frisbie, and her brother, Robert Frisbie.

She leaves a loving family to continue her legacy of faith: husband Robert Maday; daughter Katie Oswalt, her husband Carlton and children Bryce and Ella; son Jeff Maday, his wife Gina and their children Camden, Coleman and Caleb (due October 25); and daughter Tricia Blakely, her husband B.G. and their children Jackson and Cason.

Visitation will be in St. James Place at the Jonesboro First Baptist Church on Monday, September 24, 2007 from 5 to 8 p.m. The celebration service will be in the sanctuary at Jonesboro First Baptist Church on Tuesday, September 25, 2007, at 3 p.m. with Dr. Charles Q. Carter and Dr. Dean Haun officiating.

Martin Evens Crane



Martin Evens Crane, age 81, of Jonesboro, died Saturday, September 22, 2007. Mr. Crane is survived by his daughter, Lynda Moore; grandson, Corey Moore; great-granddaughter, Mea Sky Moore; sisters, Lavine Stephens, Alice Kidd; brothers, Herman Crane and Audrey Crane. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Sunday September 23, 2007 in the Jonesboro Chapel of Pope Dickson & Sons with Rev. W.H. Horton officiating. Interment followed in Sherwood Memorial Park. Pope Dickson & Son Jonesboro Chapel. 770-478-7211.
