Published November 01, 2009 10:59 pm - Roughers get title tag in mag Muskogee High School’s boys basketball program ended last season with its first state tournament berth in a decade. This season, at least one preseason publication thinks it’ll improve on that.
Oklahoma Basketball Preview published by VYPE High School Sports Magazine has Muskogee ranked No. 2 in Class 6A in its preseason poll, behind defending champion Putnam CIty, but picks the Roughers to win the Class 6A gold ball. Muskogee’s senior post player Oren Faulk is one of four state players on the magazine’s cover. Inside is a feature on the Fort Gibson girls as well. The publication went on sale Sunday in various area stores. O
