Local firm introduces new fencing product
Goodbye boring white. Hello Buckskin, Silverton, Bonfire, Copper Creek and Montana Sky. Fencing will never be the same.
Patent pending, all steel Big Sky Classic Rail Fence connects without nuts, bolts or screws, and is now available for purchase through Thunder Canyon Fence Products of Fort Gibson, according to a media release. The fence comes pre-painted in multiple colors and carries a 25-year paint warranty.
“This fence is truly revolutionary,” said General Manager Bryan Sherwood. “Vinyl has dominated the scene for a while because construction of a strong steel fence was costly and labor intensive. But vinyl has downsides, not the least of which is an extremely limited color selection. And who wants to paint and repaint ... and repaint?”
In the media release, Sherwood stated the metal fence comes in colors that were not possible in vinyl fence and is easy to install.
The rails fit into pre-cut grooves in the post and the resulting look has classic charm with all the modern advantages of steel, like being 100 percent Green recyclable, Sherwood said.
Big Sky Classic Rail Fence is made of roll-formed Kynar 500 pre-painted Galvalume steel. It installs with the patent-pending Cut & Connect system, with options for ornamental, residential, commercial and livestock use. Nestable components yield significant cost efficiencies during shipping. Also, by taking advantage of the superior strength of steel, Big Sky Classic Rail can withstand temperature extremes from grass fires to ice storms without losing structural integrity, he said.
Big Sky Classic Rail is manufactured by Thunder Canyon Fence Products, a Lumasteel Company, LLC division. Lumasteel is a sister company to BRB Roofing of Fort Gibson, established in 1975 and home of the WeatherBossŪ Roof System.
