The Laurel Leader-Call, a seven-day, 7,500-circulation newspaper in Laurel, MS, is seeking an experienced, high-energy professional to lead a staff of six. This position is responsible for the generation of all advertising revenue for the newspaper through the direction and daily leadership of the advertising department, including retail, classifieds, a quarterly city/lifestyle magazine, and internet sales.

The Advertising Director must be experienced in implementing new and successful sales strategies, and must have the ability to motivate a sales staff. Must also be willing and able to make sales calls and handle an account list too. Simply put, he/she must lead by example! The qualified candidate will be an innovative thinker and will work closely with the Publisher.

Laurel is located in Southern Mississippi about 90 minutes from the coast and 90 minutes from the capital city, Jackson. We are an equal-opportunity employer.
